World Dryer Corporation Partners with Willard Elementary School on Green Art Program

(Berkeley, IL) March 23, 2011 – World Dryer Corporation announces an exciting new partnership with Willard Elementary School of Evanston. The leading global manufacturer will donate $15,000 of SMARTdri™ Hand Dryers to the learning institution, and Willard students will design artwork to decorate the units. The Green Art Program matches children’s creativity with environmental solutions. And it’s just in time for Earth Day.

After expanding product distribution to 85 countries, World Dryer proudly turns their attention to their home state. Under this innovative program, Willard Elementary School art students will use paint brushes to speak their own words of saving the environment — landscapes of lush grass and towering trees, rows of wind power turbines on blue skies — onto 15 blank covers supplied by the high-performance dryer company. World Dryer will seal those painted SMARTdri covers, and install the dryers at the school beginning in early April. Installation will be complete by Earth Day, April 22, 2011. Every time Willard students blast their hands dry, they’ll practice healthy, hygienic hand-sanitation. Simultaneously, they’ll celebrate art, save trees and help the environment.

“At Willard School, our mission is to foster a caring community that values the whole child and motivates students to become lifelong learners,” said Principal Jerry Michel. The Green Art Program gives Willard — one of the top 100 Illinois schools as measured by state achievement tests — the opportunity to further their goals by instilling in students a curiosity about green energy and environmentalism.

In addition to offering green benefits, the SMARTdri features automatic operation, embedded SteriTouch® antimicrobial technology, and modular design for easier servicing. SMARTdri is extremely energy efficient, using only 12% of the energy of traditional dryers.

SMARTdri also eliminates the need to purchase, stock and dispose of paper towels, which have jumped in price by 20% over the past six years. An analysis by World Dryer found that an average school can choose hand dryers over paper towels and save $26,000 per year and that equals 99% cost savings. World’s hand dryers are the cost-efficient, energy-efficient answer.

“This new SMARTdri hand dryer is a great solution for a green education facility,” said Tom Vic, President of World Dryer Corporation. “Its smart design of speed and heating options provides a school with flexible installations in library or high traffic areas”

With more than 50 years of excellence to their name, World Dryer is unmatched in quality and reliability. SMARTdri is not only their newest product; it’s the best in green energy technology on the market. Simply put, it is the way forward.##
